COLUMBINE - NORA BARLOW COLUMBINE Nora Barlow aquilegia vulgaris Native to North America the shape of the flower is similar to the cap & bell of a court jester's hat. Originated in the 1700's this is a renamed strain-possibly after Charles Darwin's granddaughter. This one is a combination of spurless flowers in blues, violets and pinks partly edged in white. Type: Perennial Zone: 3-9 Light: semi-shade Soil: moist but well-drained humus Spacing: 30cm Height: 45 to 60cm Season: early summer Propagation: Prechill seeds.
